Monsoon Birding @ Shivapuri NP

There was bit of gambling with the weather today but luckily the weather remained okay for the period of birding. And the processionof people visiting the park was not very helpful making the group for little diversion, which was not very productive in termsof birds bu the lus and rich greenery was wonderful with many flowers  Whatever the group could see and record includes on the main road only.

Monsoon Birding at Phulchauki and Godawari

Last wednesday, starting very early from Kathmandu, Gopi, Ramesh, Krishna and Vimal, managed to take the birdhike to Phulchauki inspite of the rainy weather, which actually did not bother while heading up towards the top but latter it was pouring down, that made them to retreat the group back to Godawari. But inspite of rain there were so much of activities and calls from the birds all around and now and than a mixed flock of hunting and feeding birds used to cross the path allowing wonderful oppurtunity to be seen and identified them and the recorded number exceeded fifty birds.
